Welcome and thank you for choosing to be part of our community at Beeper! Beeper is a unified inbox and single app for all major messaging networks.
Beeper is a part of Automattic Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Beeper Terms of Use (“Beeper Terms”) supplement the Automattic Terms of Service located at automattic.com/tos (“Automattic TOS”) and are a part of and incorporated into the Automattic TOS, and you must comply with both the Automattic TOS and these Beeper Terms when using Beeper. All capitalized terms not defined in these Beeper Terms will have the meaning set forth in the Automattic TOS. The Beeper website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, “Beeper”) are a “Service” under the Automattic TOS. All terms in the Automattic TOS apply to your use of Beeper unless these Beeper Terms explicitly state otherwise. In the event of any conflict between these Beeper Terms and the Automattic TOS, these Beeper Terms will control.

You must be at least 13 years old or the minimum legal age in your country/state to use Beeper. If you live in a country in the European Economic Area, you must be at least 16 years old to use Beeper.
If you don’t agree to these Beeper Terms and the Automattic TOS, you don’t have our permission to use Beeper.
PLEASE READ THESE BEEPER TERMS AND THE AUTOMATTIC TOS CAREFULLY. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THESE BEEPER TERMS OR THE AUTOMATTIC TOS, PLEASE CONTACT US AT [email protected] BEFORE YOU AGREE TO THEM. WE’VE TRIED TO MAKE THESE BEEPER TERMS AND THE AUTOMATTIC TOS EASY TO UNDERSTAND, AND WE ARE HAPPY TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. IF YOU AGREE TO THE BEEPER TERMS AND THE AUTOMATTIC TOS, THAT MEANS THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND ACCEPT ALL OF THESE BEEPER TERMS AND THE AUTOMATTIC TOS.
1. The Automattic TOS
In addition to these Beeper Terms, the Automattic TOS applies to your use of Beeper. Please carefully review the Automattic TOS to understand terms applicable your use of Beeper, including but not limited to Fees, Payment, and Renewal (Section 5), General Representation and Warranty (Section 7), Intellectual Property (Section 10), Termination (Section 13), Disclaimers (Section 14), Jurisdiction and Applicable Law (Section 15), Limitation of Liability (Section 16), and Indemnification (Section 17), and Miscellaneous (Section 21).
2. The Beeper Service
Beeper gathers the messages you send and receive from third-party messaging services (each, a “Messaging Service”) that you connect to Beeper and displays those messages in a single inbox.
Depending on the Messaging Service, you may have an option to choose between on-device integrations or Beeper Cloud. Review the Beeper Privacy Policy for more information on how these services protect your messages and apply encryption.
3. Your Beeper Account

Account Creation. You must create a Beeper account with us before accessing and using Beeper. You can create a Beeper account by signing in using third-party credentials such as Google or Apple, providing an email address and password, or other log-in options we may make available to you.

Your Responsibilities. In addition to the applicable representations, warranties, and other responsibilities in the Automattic TOS, you agree as follows: Your right to access and use Beeper is personal to you, and you may not allow anyone else to access your Beeper account. You represent to us that you are the owner of each of the connected Messaging Service accounts. We may suspend your Beeper account or stop providing Beeper to you if we suspect you are committing fraud or are engaging in illegal activity. You also may not (i) use any robot, spider, scraper, deep link, or other similar automated data gathering or extraction tools, programs, algorithms or methodology to access, acquire, copy or monitor Beeper or any portion of Beeper; (ii) post or transmit any content which contains viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any other contaminating or destructive features, or that otherwise interfere with the proper working of Beeper; or (iii) attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of Beeper.

Deleting your Account. You may request to delete your Beeper account at any time, for any reason, by going to account.beeper.com. If your account is frozen, closed, or deleted, you will be logged out from your account and will no longer be able to interact with Beeper. If you are using on-device integrations, your messages will continue to be stored locally on your device until you uninstall the Beeper app. After your account is closed, unless we need to retain the information for legal reasons (as described in the Beeper Privacy Policy), we will delete all of the information in your account from our servers, and we will not be liable to you or to anyone else for any consequences that result from the closure of your account and deletion of your information.
4. Using Beeper on your Computer or Your Mobile Device
Beeper may be available to you on your personal computer or on a compatible mobile device, and may require you to download, install, and maintain a mobile or desktop application. You agree that you are solely responsible for any requirements from your device or application provider, including any applicable changes, updates, and fees as well as the terms of use of your personal computer or your agreement with your mobile device and telecommunications provider. WE MAKE NO EXPRESS, STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND AS TO: (i) THE ABILITY TO ACCESS THE INTERNET VIA YOUR COMPUTER, OR THE AVAILABILITY OF TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES FROM YOUR PROVIDER TO ACCESS AND USE TO BEEPER AT ANY TIME OR FROM ANY LOCATION; (ii) ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, OR OTHER SECURITY INTRUSION OF THE TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES OR YOUR COMPUTER; AND (iii) ANY DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES OR FAILURE TO TRANSMIT ANY DATA, COMMUNICATIONS OR SETTINGS CONNECTED WITH BEEPER.
5. Changes to Beeper and these Beeper Terms
We’re always trying to improve Beeper, which means we may add, remove, or change functionality within it. We may also temporarily or permanently discontinue Beeper. We may take any of these actions at any time for any reason, without notice to you.
We may also modify these Beeper Terms from time to time. If we do this, we’ll provide notice of the changes, such as by posting the amended Beeper Terms and updating the “Last Updated” date or, if the changes, in our sole discretion, are material, we may notify you through Beeper or other communications. Any changes will apply on a going-forward basis, and, unless we say otherwise, the amended Beeper Terms will be effective immediately. By continuing to use Beeper after we’ve notified you, you agree to be bound by the new Beeper Terms. You have the right to object to any changes at any time by canceling your subscription and ceasing your use of Beeper.
6. Entire Agreement
These Beeper Terms and the Automattic TOS form the entire agreement between you and us with respect to your Beeper account and your use of Beeper. This means that any verbal or text communications between you and us will not modify or change these Beeper Terms.
7. Term and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Beeper account and rights to use Beeper at any time and effective immediately, if you violate these Beeper Terms or the Automattic TOS or for any reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination of your rights under these Beeper Terms or the Automattic TOS, your Beeper account and right to access and use Beeper will terminate immediately. We will not have any liability whatsoever to you for any termination of your rights under these Beeper Terms, including for termination of your account.
